Nick Jonas-Nicholas Jerry Jonas—is an actor, singer, and composer from the United States. When he was seven, Jonas started performing on Broadway. In 2002, he published his first song, which attracted the attention of Columbia Records. With his elder brothers, Kevin and Joe, Jonas created a band called the Jonas Brothers. In 2006, the group’s first studio album, It’s About Time, was released under the Columbia label. The group’s breakthrough album, their self-titled second studio album, was released in 2007 after they signed with Hollywood Records after leaving Columbia Records.

It was the song “Please Be Mine” that convinced him to sign Jonas and his siblings together. Leaving Columbia

August 8, 2006, saw the release of the band’s debut album, It’s About Time (2006). Little support was given to the record by the label, which was no longer interested in marketing the band. Only 50,000 copies of the record were distributed during its first run. Dissatisfied with the way the label handled the record’s release, the band wanted to leave Columbia Records and find another label; in 2007, it was announced that the label had dropped them. A total of 1,750,000 copies of the record were eventually sold.
