In her autobiography, Walter describes this era as a time when it was believed that nobody would take a woman seriously in Women’s Movements. She was then reporting “Hard News”In the regular performing program “Today Girls” whom Walters named “tea pourer” which includes personnel such as; Florence Henderson, Helen O’Connell, Lee Meriwether, and Estelle Parsons. Smith. Walter state that Reasoner did not like to work with a co-anchor and he was also unhappy at ABC, not because of any dislike of Walter’s personality by Harry. She has been on the ABC Newsmagazine 20/20 and she reunites with Today show host Hugh Downs in 1979. Throughout her career in ABC News, she was appearing as a commentator.
