Brianna Keilar is an American journalist who co-anchors the afternoon edition of CNN News Central. She, previously was a White House correspondent, senior correspondent, general assignment correspondent, and Congressional correspondent for CNN in Washington. Briana was once a national correspondent at CNN Newsource. She was the host of CNN Right Now with Brianna Keilar before she joined News Day.

Her TV career began at Yakima in Washington at KIMA, a CBS affiliate. She co-hosted the morning drive-time show Billy, Blue, and Brianna Too: The Morning Zoo on KFFM. Brianna then moved to CBS News, where she was an anchor, reporter, and producer for CBS News, which aired on MTVU, the college network for MTV. She filled in as an anchor on the CBS News overnight newscast, Up to the Minute. Brianna did freelance reporting on the weekend edition of CBS Evening News.
She joined CNN as a CNN Newsource correspondent, giving breaking news coverage and reports from Washington. She covered the 2007 Virginia Tech massacre as the first CNN correspondent at the scene. Keilar won the 2009 National Press Foundation Everett McKinley Dirksen Award for Distinguished Reporting of Congress. This was to recognize her 2008 coverage of the $700 billion bank bailout. Her coverage of the Obamacare rollout made her earn the White House Correspondents’ Association’s 2014 Aldo Beckman Memorial Award.
Keilar wrote a column called Home Front in 2019, telling tales of military families and attempts to bridge the civilian-military divide. She based her work on her marriage to a military spouse.
She joined New Day in 2021. On September 15, 2022, Keilar was announced to be deserting her New Day role since the show was to be replaced by CNN This Morning. She joined Borise Sanchez and Jim Sciutto in April 2023 as a co-anchor for CNN News Central. She anchors the 1 p.m. to 4 pm afternoon edition.

Keilar and Dave French got married on May 2, 2009, but they later divorced. She announced her engagement to Fernando Lujan, an on-duty Green Beret.
