When station management approached him in October 2018 about returning to the air as a co-anchor on KRBC, he was still working in sales. David eagerly embraced the chance to take on this new position in his broadcasting career. Bacon not only co-anchors but also serves as the newscast’s primary producer at 6:00.

David may often be found playing golf while watching SMU, the Texas Rangers, or the Dallas Cowboys when he isn’t on the air. Additionally, he serves as the school’s “Voice of the McMurry War Hawks,” calling football and basketball events.
