He went through seven days at a Marine training camp in South Carolina, profiled Western New York sailors on board a naval force frigate in the Atlantic, and made a trip to the Middle East with neighborhood flying corps reservists to cover the Persian Gulf War in 1990. To cover Hurricane Andrew in Florida, Keith flew with the U.S. Flying corps Reserves Team, the Niagara Falls 914th. Keith was additionally the essential live reporter for ABC News, for the initial fourteen days of the O.J. Simpson twofold homicide story in Los Angeles.
