Under the direction of Kyle Flood and Chris Ash, he enrolled and participated in collegiate football at Rutgers. He didn’t start any games, but thanks to his outstanding play, he had a remarkable redshirt freshman season with 24 tackles, 8 tackles for loss, and 7.5 sacks. Kemoko was later named to the Freshman All-American team following this season. He received an invitation to the 2018 Senior Bowl following his senior year.
Kemoko received an invite to the 2018 NFL combine after his college season. The Indianapolis Colts selected him in the second round, 52nd overall, of the 2018 NFL Draft. He recorded his first 1.5 sacks of his professional career in a game against the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 3.
Kemoko was sidelined for the remainder of the 2019 season after breaking his ankle in week 5. As a result, he was added to the injured reserve on October 14, 2019.
