Meghan Markle, Biography
Meghan Markle is a former American actress. She is a member of the British royal family, married to Prince Harry, Duke of Sussex, the younger son of King Charles III. She is also known as Rachel and is the Duchess of Sussex. Meghan Markle is the second most disliked member of the Royal Family, according to statistics, after Prince Harry’s uncle, Prince Andrew.

The environs of West Park Hospital in Canoga Park, Los Angeles, California, welcomed the Dutchess of Sussex, Rachel Meghan Markle, into the world on August 4, 1981. She is 42 years old. However, others think she might be lying about her age so as not to look much older than her husband, who is 40. The debate on whether she lied about her age was sparked by court papers filed by her sister stating that she was born in 1977 and therefore that Meghan was 46 years old.

Her Caucasian father, Thomas Markle Sr., and African American mother, Doris Ragland, separated when she was two years old. Her rmother was a makeup artist, while her father was a television lighting director and director of photography. Both parents contributed to raising her till she was nine, when she remained in the care of her father until she joined university. She later became estranged from her half-siblings, Samantha and Thomas Markle, and her father.

Meghan attended Hollywood Little Red Schoolhouse in View Park-Windsor Hills, Los Angeles. To gender neutralize, a dishwashing soap commercial on national television, Meghan and her classmates wrote Procter& Gamble. She graduated from Immaculate Heart High School, a Catholic girls school, though she was raised as a protestant. She acted in plays at school. Markle used some of her time during her teens to work at a frozen yogurt outlet, as a babysitter and waitress, and at a soup kitchen in Skid Row, Los Angeles.
She went to Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois, from 1999 to 2003. She joined Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority and, together with other members, worked voluntarily with the Glass Project. Her uncle helped her get an internship as a junior press officer at the American Embassy in Buenos Aires. She, however, failed the Foreign Service Officer Test and did not proceed with the US State Department. Meghan returned to Northwestern University and earned her bachelor’s degree, majoring in theatre and international studies, in 2003.

Meghan Markle, First Marriage
After dating American film producer, Trevor Engelson in 2004, Markle married him in Ocho Rios, Jamaica, on August 16, 2011. They, however, divorced in February 2014. After that, she got into a live-in relationship with Cory Vitiello, a Canadian celebrity chef. The relationship lasted two years, ending in 2016.

Meghan’s relationship with Queen Elizabeth’s grandson, Prince Harry, began in mid-2016. The two first met on Instagram and were set up for a blind date by a mutual friend in July of that year.
The two got engaged on November 27, 2017, and got married on May 19, 2018, at St. George Chapel, Windsor Castle. Though they exchanged vows three days later, the privacy of the vows prevented their marriage from being legally recognized. The two have a daughter called Lilibet, who was born on June 4, 2021, and a son called Archie, the Prince of Sussex.

Meghan Markle, Visit to Nigeria
In May 2024, Meghan and Prince Harry visited Nigeria to promote the Invictus Games and to meet the Nigerian soldiers wounded in action. Abike Dabiri presented Yoruba traditional attire to Prince Harry and the Duchess of Sussex at the reception, honoring the Nigerian Military Service members. The couple dressed in matching whites for the occasion. People, however, criticized her use of moon bumps and padded bras to boost her cleavage. Others even stated that everything about her was fake.
