Phil Ferro is an American meteorologist who is currently serving as the chief meteorologist at WSVN Fox 7. In this role, he is responsible for delivering up-to-date weather updates, including watches, Warnings, and the local forecast on weekdays from 4 p.m. to 11 p.m. as a part of the 7 news team. Ferro became a member of the WSVN Fox 7 team in 2005.

Furthermore, Ferro leads a team of four individuals who are constantly monitoring South Florida’s skies round the clock. To remain well-informed about advancements in the field of meteorology, he actively participates in seminars and hurricane conferences. A significant milestone in his career involved, however, being part of a groundbreaking expedition that penetrated a hurricane while returning to the Caribbean in 1999.

Ferro has undergone community hurricane preparedness training by FEMA and regularly attends NOAA classes to maintain his up-to-date forecasting abilities, He actively serves on the AMS Commission of Professional Affair Standing plane of Spanish Language Evaluators for the Board of Broadcast Meteorology.
