Shannon Sohn was born Shannon Paige Sohn. Sohn is a television news reporter at WABC-TV Eyewitness News in New York, where she became the 1st helicopter reporter to win a national Emmy award. To add to that before graduation, Sohn was offered a position to serve as a weekend news anchor at WCTC and to fill a vacancy in the station’s aerial traffic reporter spot. Shannon won a reporting award from the Associated Press while working at WCTC. In 2001, Shannon was hired by WABC-TV as part of the Eyewitness News Team on NewsCopter 7.
