The Cleveland Cavaliers choose Mobley third overall in the 2021 NBA Draft. He signed a contract with the Cavaliers on August 3, 2021. Mobley made his summer league debut on August 8, 2021, in an 84-76 loss to the Houston Rockets, with 12 points, five rebounds, and three blocks in 28 minutes. On October 20, he played in his first NBA game, losing to the Memphis Grizzlies 132-121 while scoring 17 points, grabbing nine rebounds, and dishing out six assists.
