She made her acting debut in 1992 on Martin and Out All Night. Later, she played the character Denise Frazer in repeat appearances on the ABC family comedy Full House and Hangin’ with Mr. Cooper. She co-starred alongside her siblings in the short-lived ABC sitcom On Our Own from 1994 to 1995. Smollett debuted on the big screen in 1996 by starring in the Francis Ford Coppola picture Jack.
